Trying to take pictures! The joys of fish being uncooperative!

As some of you know from following me on Facebook, I recently purchased a cute little tank that is designated for photography only. Now if only the fish would cooperate! Here are the end results of my labor. I have been struggling to get pictures of Danio erythromicron. I have them in a tank that has the short side out, and to say they are uncooperative for photos is an epic understatement. I have them housed with Rosy loaches, and they two are quite cute together, sharing schooling behavior and generally being awesome.

I set up a little photo tank, just a 4g-ish, with a bright light and some simple substrate and bolbitis. The PLAN was that the fish would be in a small space, therefore my remote flash would obviously illuminate them no matter where they were. You can see in the pictures below, the fish scoff at me. Hilarious yet frustrating. Needless to say, I often spend HOURS trying to get one shot, and some days I just fail!
