Getting back into the swing of things!

Getting back into the swing of things!

Just wanted to update everybody! Today is my husband’s first full day back to work! While he is not out of the wood (we need to make it three more months for that), he is improved enough for our life to get back to normal. This means for all of you, that I am picking up fish on Sunday! I am working on building my stock list back up, and continuing to focus on my breeding efforts. I started doing a little harvesting from my outdoor...

Life is settling down- hopefully back on track soon!

Life is settling down- hopefully back on track soon!

My husband had a severely (over 80%) detached retina, as a complication to the corneal transplant. They reattached it last week, and hopefully we are almost out of the woods. As long as it stays attached, I should be back on track to order more critters within two weeks! This will set me up beautifully to really get back into business by early September, once new critters have cleared quarantine. I will also be offering SCADS of Meteor minnow...

Getting back on track after a BRUTAL winter!

Getting back on track after a BRUTAL winter!

Well, this winter has been horrendous- snowstorm after snowstorm resulting in delayed freight (death of imported critters) and very few shipping days. Working on getting back on track, and getting more livestock in! If sales of the new stuff go well, I hope to do a Peru import within a few weeks. Then a new shrimp and snail order after that. Here are a few shots from around the fish room today. I will be in Gaithersburg, MD this weekend for...

I have a small order coming in Monday, mainly shrimp, and plan to order some more darios, some puffers, and a few types of loaches at some point soon. Now is the time if you have a special request to make it! In the meantime, I am doing a sale for shipping next week. PLEASE NOTE- a winter storm is coming. Right now, it looks like I...

Photo updates

I will be working, the next couple of days, on updating all my species profiles to include the new livestock. It is a fish heavy stock list right  now, but I hope to do an invertebrate import soon. Next up, and the last event for my year, is the OCA in Ohio. I will be taking pre-orders and most likely selling some stuff out of my room. Otocinclus cocama will likely not become available, they came in rough and are doing poorly. The rest of the...

Getting ready for Summer travels! Florida is up first- Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale

This Summer will be a busy one! I am starting out the season by heading to Tampa to speak at the Tampa Bay Aquarium Society on Monday, June 10. I won’t be taking pre-orders, as it is a pretty loooong drive, but I will be bringing donations for the club. That same week, I will be speaking near Ft. Lauderdale at the Gold Coast Aquarium Society. I am really looking forward to this trip! This week I have gotten in a bunch of new livestock. I...

Some new additions to the stock list! Clown killies, Vietnamese white clouds, and more

I picked up some new critters this week to expand the stocklist and am very pleased at their quality! I got in Clown Killies which are still pretty young, but sexable (I have a good quantity of females). I also got in some really nice Vietnamese white clouds, which will be great for those of you who like to breed fish outside in the spring through fall. Also on the noteable list are Axelrodi riesei, or the Ruby...
