Getting back into the swing of things!

Getting back into the swing of things!

Just wanted to update everybody! Today is my husband’s first full day back to work! While he is not out of the wood (we need to make it three more months for that), he is improved enough for our life to get back to normal. This means for all of you, that I am picking up fish on Sunday! I am working on building my stock list back up, and continuing to focus on my breeding efforts. I started doing a little harvesting from my outdoor...

All caught up and working on restocking!

All caught up and working on restocking!

It has been a doozy of a time with this weather! Things are finally back on track, and I placed a small order this week, as well as one arriving Monday. I am planning a large order for the end of the month, so now is the time to hit me up with special requests for me to consider! I got in a few species that I don’t generally carry, Hyphessobrycon flammeus (Flame tetra), Boraras merah, and Thayeria obliqua (Penguin tetra), as well as...

A few more shots

The Ruby Tetras I got in are some of the nicest I have ever seen- really vibrant and eating well. I also snagged a few shots of some other stuff, and have a lot more work to do. These pics are not as good as usual, but I will shoot more in the upcoming days.  ...

more updates, big fish too!

more updates, big fish too!

I spent the entire day cleaning and doing water changes, so took a few shots from around the fish room. I also moved my cuban gar into the “big boy” tank, so far so good! I have some more shrimp coming in Monday, fingers crossed what I ordered comes in! I am considering restructuring part of my fishroom and clearing out some of my personal fish again, somehow they have a way of creeping up in numbers and I need more tank space!...

Green dragon ancistrus—-oooo pretty!

I just snapped a few pictures around the fish room today. I have restock of Danio margaritatus as well as Sunkist shrimp. I have also added more wild bee shrimp and Super tigers. My plecos are now out of quarantine as well. I have L450s available, green dragon ancistrus, and a couple Hypancistrus contradens. There are L144 babies growing out, and I plan to do several orders in the next few weeks as well to flesh out other areas of my...

Pictures pictures pictures!

Pictures pictures pictures!

I have been a busy, busy lady! I spoke at the CCA Aquamania Convention in Gaithersburg, MD and also was selling at their marketplace that Sunday. It was an outstanding time! The club really did an excellent job and the turnout was fantastic. I was able to upgrade my camera body after my CCA weekend, and have been spending as much time as I can, between all my travels, taking pictures! I am SUPER happy with the quality from the upgrade, and...

Your daily dose of pictures!

Your daily dose of pictures!

Well, some of you may have read of the most recent fish room foible- I dropped my remote flash into a tank. Absolute brilliance, you gasp. Yea, I know. Right now it is happily residing in a large bag of rice, but I am not hopeful that it will work. Regardless of this set back (psst, now would be a great time to make an order so I can purchase a new remote flash), I decided to try and shoot some pictures around the room anyway. I did not get...

Some more shots from around the fish room.

Some more shots from around the fish room.

I was working hard in the fish room today trying to snap some pictures of shrimp. Let’s just say, my fine tuning with my remote flash leaves a bit to be desired so I will try again on another day. I have a few shots of invertebrates to share, and a couple of fish. I plan on spending a lot of tomorrow taking pictures of more of the livestock available in the fish room right now.        ...

More invertebrates in stock

More invertebrates in stock

It has been awhile since I got a decent shipment of shrimp and snails in, seems like everytime lately there has been an issue either with availability or quality. I am very happy to report that I have several more species of shrimp and nerite all in stock. It is perfect shipping time of year (in my area) for invertebrates, with priority mailing being perfectly acceptable. I now have in stock again Red rili, Tiger, and Bumble bee shrimp. I have...
