Some fish updates

Whew, winter is not kind! Sickness, computer issues, death, snow, freezing temperatures! That being said, I am working on building up the ole stocklist, and am traveling a ton in the upcoming weeks. Here are a couple fish pics from around the fishroom, some of which will be coming out of quarantine next week. I plan on starting to restock more shrimp (been focusing on breeding my own, only) as well as some more asian species including...

Books back in stock, and some shots from around the fish room

Things are going well in the fish room! I had a great time at the All-Aquarium Catfish Convention. Here are some shots from around the fish room.  Some of the hillstream species are beginning to be released from quarantine though the borneo suckers still need more time. I also got in another case of the book I co-authored, and they are available as well. The response from my friends and customers has just been amazing! You guys sure know how to...

Getting back into the swing of things!

Just wanted to update everybody! Today is my husband’s first full day back to work! While he is not out of the wood (we need to make it three more months for that), he is improved enough for our life to get back to normal. This means for all of you, that I am picking up fish on Sunday! I am working on building my stock list back up, and continuing to focus on my breeding efforts. I started doing a little harvesting from my outdoor...

Modified shipping, fish room work, and picture updates!

Modified shipping, fish room work, and picture updates!

After the brutal winter, struggling to make ends meet, and having issues with getting in quality livestock, I have decided that the best thing for my mental health is to take some time, revamp the fish room, breed a bunch of cool fish and invertebrates, and recharge my mental batteries! I am traveling a lot, as well as writing a lot (a book is coming out soon in addition to my Amazonas articles, Amazonas blog, Hydra Forum blog, and my work on...

Some new additions to the stock list! Clown killies, Vietnamese white clouds, and more

I picked up some new critters this week to expand the stocklist and am very pleased at their quality! I got in Clown Killies which are still pretty young, but sexable (I have a good quantity of females). I also got in some really nice Vietnamese white clouds, which will be great for those of you who like to breed fish outside in the spring through fall. Also on the noteable list are Axelrodi riesei, or the Ruby...

More critters

More critters

I was trying to get pictures of some of the critters today. I wasn’t overly successful, but here are a few shots regardless. It is very, very difficult to get a shot of the Brevibora dorsiocellata. They are a lovely silver color with a yellow cast and have a dark blotch in their dorsal fin. They also have a very lovely blue lampeye, and are the best schoolers I have ever kept in a fish under 1.5″. The Trigonostigma espei are...

Tiger shrimp and amanos are back in stock!

I have over 800 votes and remain hopeful that I will be a recipient of one of their generous awards! Ready to go from the newest influx of livestock are Amano shrimp and Tiger shrimp. The amanos are around one inch and ready to go to their forever homes! I have a mix of juvenile and...
