All the new critters have settled in well!

All the new critters are conditioned and ready to go! I took some feeding pictures (Repashy Soilent Green) from around the fish room today. Clearly everyone was enjoying! The stock list should be up to  date, and I anticipate the arrival of my Peru order (some day, sigh!). I plan to restock my nerites and get some more shrimp variety in the upcoming weeks. Back from speaking at GCAS, and a visit with Ricky Chawla- goby hoarder

I had the great pleasure to visit the Greater City Aquarium Society to present a new talk on the diversity within nano aquaria this week. What a great turn-out! Many friends and customers from the greater NYC area came out to support, and I had a really great time, despite some technological and traffic issues. I would encourage anyone that has a local club, to join and support! This is THE best way to make fish friends, share plants or fish,...

Om nom nom, Repashy is delicious- according to fish, anyway

Om nom nom, Repashy is delicious- according to fish, anyway

Today I decided to feed the entire fish room Repashy’s Soilent Green. It is primarily used as an Aufwuchs (algae and micro crustaceans) replacement, but I use it as a staple for most of my fish and invertebrates. The first few ingredients are algae (Chlorella and Spirulina), followed by Krill, squid, sardine and alfalfa. To prepare the food, you simply boil water and add 1/4 powder to 3/4 water. Super easy to do and celan up.. It lasts in...
