CW006! Hopefully a new breeding project
I went to the Capital Cichlid Association meeting yesterday to see Anthony Tu present on Frontosa. Afterwards, I had the great pleasure to visit Michael Barber’s fish room. Due to travels, he was downsizing many of his tanks. I picked up a lot of great fish and plants, but what I am most excited about is a beautiful group of nine CW006. As far as I know, they have not been bred yet. They are large and quite striking. I have placed them in a 55g with some nice sand for substrate, some floating plants, and many branchy pieces of driftwood covered in a thick bed of moss. I am conditioning them with Repashy Spawn and Grow as well as live foods like daphnia and white worms. I am very hopeful that I will get them to spawn, but as they have proven difficult for many consummate corydoras pros, I am not holding my breath!
