Getting back into the swing of things!
Just wanted to update everybody! Today is my husband’s first full day back to work! While he is not out of the wood (we need to make it three more months for that), he is improved enough for our life to get back to normal. This means for all of you, that I am picking up fish on Sunday! I am working on building my stock list back up, and continuing to focus on my breeding efforts. I started doing a little harvesting from my outdoor breeding bins, and scooped up 52 Danio choprae and about 40 juvenile trapdoor snails in a single net. Since things are so mild right now, I will likely harvest the bins sooner rather than later. My catfish populations are exploding and the shrimp are doing great as well. I hope to have my stocklist fully fleshed out by the end of September. Also in September, the book I co-wrote with Mark Denaro and published by TFH will be hitting the “stands”! It is a book in the 101 series about Freshwater Nano Aquaria. This fall I will be attending a few clubs in Michigan in September, and attending the All Aquarium Catfish Convention in Virginia. I hope to see some of you there! More information can be found on my events page.
Here are a few updates from around the fish room. I will update again Sunday or Monday with the new, incoming livestock.
